Just another sunday...

Today was Carter's first church experience. He did great! He was actually awake for the 1st 1/2 and i think he really enjoyed the music! Grandma and Grandpa took Carter and Parker up for communion...you could tell they were really excited to show off the little boys. One lady even asked us if they were twins...haha

After church we went to Barnstormer for breakfast. Well I went to change Carter's diaper...and oh geez he had a HUGE blow out. Lisa even had to help me hose him down!!haha You would of been proud.

Well that is all for now. We have a huge week...a meeting w/lactation consultant, 1st doctors appointment, Bison Bidders Bowl, and Olivia's Bday party. Carter needs his rest!! =)

Carter hanging out in his favorite chair...=)

Grandpa w/Parker and Tanner at Shane and Lisa's House

Its the weekend! We had some big milestones that we need to tell you about:

Carter's 1st Bath- Grandma showed us how to give him Carter his 1st full bath. He was a little fussy at the beginning...but by the end calmed down. It was pretty easy...cant wait till he can sit up and play w/some water toys!

Wed night (our 1st night just us two) went great! we adjusted to each other and slept pretty well!

On Thursday we had a pretty low key night. It was grey's anatomy new season preimere(2 hours) and just so you know Meredith and Derek...still together! But crazy part was Christina got hit by and ice pick right in her stomach! But enough about that!!

Friday we spent all morning organizing downstairs! We now have a bed room family room w/tv, and a guest room. Its like our own apartment!! Carters stuff is all organized and we love it down there. That day grandma babysat while I ran to target and Caribou! Had to buy a few gifts etc!!
That night we watched the Presidential Debate. My personal opinion is that McCain did ok, but both of them were pretty tense and i was actually suprised Obama didnt do better. He seemed really serious and was not his normal "motivational" self.

Last night was awesome...Carter slept from 11:30-7AM. yes!!!! i have been trying to feed him extra today to make up for his night feedings. Today has been another busy today. Jones Family suprised us this morning by coming over and cooking pancakes for us for breakfast. Olivia and Kendall didnt do any cooking but they played w/carter and Kendall even held Carter for a few seconds...before she got bored!!haha This afternoon we took Carter to his first mall trip...w/the stroller!! Went pretty well, he got hungry 1/2 through so i used the "mother room" at the mall and nursed him. We shopped for Bison Bidder bowl outfits!!

Tonight we are going to play it lowkey...We ended up taking Carter to Thai Cusine.
Hope things are going well for you.
Love,
Danielle and Carter

1st poop

I forgot to add the pic of Carter's 1st poop! It was a big one....=)

A new journey...

Well now that you overseas i thought i would keep a diary of what is going on each day so that you can be a part of our journey...Carter's 1st days!

Wed September 24th-
Today was a good day. We slept great last night...only woke up to eat and then went right back to bed! The bigger news was that we had 4 poopy diapers...and gained 2 oz from the day before. We went and saw the lactation consultant and she put us on a eating schedule till next monday...hoping that are milk supply will go up and that Carter will start to put on some weight.
Although the lactation consultants are a little intense...we are happy they are willing to help us through these 1st week weeks of feeding.

We were lucky to have Jennie here this week. She stayed w/Carter and myself and helped us through feedings, diaper changes, and lactation meetings! On top of that she made a bunch of frozen meals(lasagna, stuffed peppers, chili) so that I would have lunches and dinners these next couple weeks.

This evening we went over to Shane and Lisa's for dinner. It was delicious!! Chicken, green bean casserole and angel food cake for desert.(tanner help make it) It was fun to see Parker and Carter sit right next to each other. Parker is about 3 pounds larger...wow what a couple weeks in age will do!! Parker even borrowed all his newborn size outfits..because he has out grown them!

That's all for tonight!

love,
Danielle and Carter
