Bison Opener

The first Bison game is in the books! The weather was good, food was awesome, and NDSU won!

Carter's favorite part is the Marching Band! Mason loves seeing the ball and all the people. Kenny loves the beer and tailgating. Danielle enjoys seeing all college and alumni friends! Overall a wonderful evening!

3rd Birthday Take One

We had a pool party on wed night for Carter's Bday! God was on our side because we had crappy weather tuesday and wed am...and then around 3:00pm it got sunny and hot!

We had about 13 little kids under 5 running around and they all had a blast. We went w/a CARS theme and the kiddos had a diving board jumping contest.

With Jess Gustin's help I made cupcakes for the event and everyone said they were tasty!

Carter was SOO excited to have his first school friend Brody attend and overall had a blast at the party.

Today we got to the Bison Game and then we will be heading to the Ranch tomorrow for Carter and Parker's Cowboy Theme Family Party!

Can time slow down????

Sometimes time just goes too fast. Little Mason is FIFTEEN months TODAY....What??!!??

Carter will be THREE in just one month.... What??!!??

We are always rushing life it feels like. Filling the calendar full and going from event to event and sometimes it feels like it is a blur. But then you take time to reflect and you realize how blessed you really are. Healthy? Check. Happy? Check. Loving life? Check. Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses. Or this morning it was a poopy diaper... :)

Mason update:

took 9 little steps in a row. SOO close to catching on to this walking thing. But prefers to just crawl as fast as he can.
Would swim all day long! loves the water. He swims in the baby pool like he is the next Michael Phelps.

Carter update:

Talk sooo much. You can get him to stop....
The funny things he says. He is always making people laugh!
So excited for his CARS birthday party w/friends. He had to put the stamps on the invitations, put the cards in the mail, and put the flag up so the mailman could come
Loves CARS right now. Lightning McQueen and Mater.
Has really gotten into swimming. Jumps off the diving board and is feeling much more comfortable.

Our little Carter is all grownup...and has his own twinbed.

We went w/a red theme(to keep w/the Circus decorations) and he has little trucks on his sheets.

He is very excited about the new bed and loves sleeping in it.

Summer Time...

We have been busy this summer enjoying all this hot weather! On tuesday nights the whole family goes to the pool for swimming and supper. What a blast we have each week!

It is funny how different Carter and Mason are. Mason LOVES the water! He will jump right in and has no fear of it. Carter on the other hand takes a little more time to get used to it. Every time we go he takes about 30 minutes or so to even get close to the big pool. This week he had a big moment...he decided to start jumping off the diving board!

Mason is a happy little guy! Not walking yet but walks around everything and crawls up and down the stairs w/no fear. Bye-Bye, Ball, Mom, Hi, night-night are some of his favorite words. He has a TON of hair and it grows too fast!

Carter is our little ham and his definitely challenging us! I think he got some of my stubbornness!! Love trucks, CARS, coloring, driving his truck, golfing w/dad, and helping water the plants. He likes to do everything on his own.. "I can do myself"!! He loves going to school and playing w/his friends and teachers.

This weekend we have the Roers All Company party and Trollwood and then are going to the lake for the weekend!

4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Although it was our first time w/out the Cormorant Lake Cabin(tear) we ended up w/a jam packed weekend.

Friday night we had a ATO Barbecue w/the hatch family, nelson family, and Elhi family. We had six little boys running around...fun times!

Saturday we went to Detroit Lakes w/the Elhi Family! What a great time. The weather was perfect and we had Zorbaz delivered right to the beach! Pizza and Sun...what more can you ask for?

Sunday we went back to Detroit Lakes for a Thielen Barbecue. That was a great time and the food was delicious. The ladies went to the DL flea market...that was an experience! The weather was VERY hot!!

Monday Shane Roers Family came to hang out. The boys went swimming, running in the sprinklers and then we all went out to eat at Doolittles. That night we were on the way to Fireworks...but a storm came so they were canceled.

Tuesday...Carrie, Carter, and I hit up the MSUM fireworks w/the Elhi family. The kiddos had a great time and as Carter loved the fireworks and would say "Wow, that was a big one!"
