The next stop was for lunch. Francesco told us to eat a light lunch…but we were shocked with how much food they gave us. We prob ate 10-12 different courses of food. The cook gave us a sampler of all different meats, cheeses, etc. Then they ended the meal with Tiramisu.
Our final stop of the tour was to a small village called Civita di Bagnoregio which only has about 20 people living in it. To get to the town you have to walk up a very steep winding road(pic below). We all made it to the top of the town…with a few stops along the way up. It was a very cool town! We got the chance to taste some of the best olive oil we have ever eaten.
Tonight we walked around Rome for a while and window shopped. Valenino, Gucci, D & G, were just some of the shops we looked into it…but knew we couldn’t afford to walk into! After that we ate at a restaurant outside and enjoyed some Cosmo’s and Beer for the guys.
Carter was in great mood today…just went to bed about 15 minutes ago. Kenny has been teaching him how to wave and to "try and crawl", and we have gotten Carter laughing a bunch the last few nights. It’s fun to see his personality start to come out
We leave for Florence in the AM so I am off to bed
Ready for the tour!!
